I'd like this as well. My use case would be that I have some really old photos from my family. I don't want them generally in my timeline so I would like to archive them. But, I'd like to be able to still have face match and the option to search for them, e.g. 'include archive?' as a search option. |

I have searched the existing feature requests to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
Since archiving faces causing search for people to break is apparently seen as intended behavior and not a bug (see #15339)
I would like to request the ability to let users decide for themselves if that should be the case on their servers.
Something like this:

Any other requested granular controls for archiving could also be included in this section.
This would resolve:
#12585 (in addition to search, the potential of duplicate entries is another issue)
