[Feature] Create new person entry

The feature

In the case where the system is unable to distinguish well between 2 related individuals, can you give me the power to add a whole new person, by choosing THIS image to create a new person from this thumbnail? After I delete the connection to the "wrong" person for example, then this person goes back to being "Unassigned" and from there I can make a "new" person? I'll guess this might be a gnarly mess but hopefully you get the idea... It would be awesome if it was possible.

Idea for UI:
In the "add face" interface (outline overlay with pick list) give me the ability to add a name in the pick list, either from nothing (I'm adding a new face altogether) or on one of the un-named faces (if I'm lucky and the face is there).

i also would like to be able to create a person manually. It would help me greatly when the facial detection doesnt detect a face/person

Agreed. I have a dog whose face is ordinarily captured by that other service, but Immich hasn't snagged her at all.

Totally agree on this one, I have some issues with Face Recognition as well. Not too bad at all but I'd like to set a "new" Face for recognition or at least delete a false recognition and then get a "blank" face, to which I can set a new name.

I have many photos that have faces in full frame, yet aren't recognized as a 'face', and is not/cannot be tagged. Manual-add of a new 'face' would help resolve this.

I am using it for anime characters, and it would really help to help the algorithm manually.

+1. Adding a person would be nice for people who are either constantly the selfie holder (so their face is only half in the photo), or being able to add people for better face ML recognition.

I agree with this feature request. I find the UI to be very confusing. I think the UI implies that I am able to add a new person's name, but this isn't possible. So I can't manually tag faces of new people because the face recognition functionality hasn't identified a face in 95% of my pictures.

The workflow certainly suggests I can take the pic of the person and give it a name. But, it doesn't work. Nor can figure out how to do it.
