My prototype PR discussion was closed by the "duplicate bot" - so here I am: As a long-time Picapport user, I really missed a visible progress indicator for library build-up. I put together a prototype that exposes queue state and a rough ETA in Admin / Server Stats. That instantly made the situation much easier to understand: nothing was broken, nothing was stuck, progress was happening, and I just needed to wait another ~24 hours. A screenshot probably shows the value better than a long explanation.
A later further version even allows me to pause/resume jobs: |

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
When I use Administration > Job to manually start a job, e.g. "Extract Metadata", I can follow the progress of that job on the Administration > Job page.
It would be cool if there was also a status on the immich home page, or at least an indicator that shows me when the job is done.
This may make sense for automatically started jobs, too, so that I can quickly see what is running, but for the jobs that I start manually, it would be really helpful.
