[Feature] Interval check for .immich files

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

The .immich files are only checked on startup. It would be useful to recheck these files every X time (possibly configurable, for example 5 min, 1 h, etc) so that the server will know to shut itself down if a mount point is lost. We have seen support tickets regarding this topic.

I think this would probably be a subset of #12293?

I thought #12293 was referring to the admin repair page. I do see that it says "async" but it seems to mean that the errors will be pre-checked before the page is loaded.

I'm picturing something more like the startup checks, where the system will shut down if a mount point is missing. Maybe it is a subset though?
