[Feature] Having "Places" on the sidebar

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

It would be great if we could have the Places shortcut on the sidebar; with a potential option in Account Settings >> Features to manually turn it off/on. Please let me know if the feature is already there and I've missed it.
