[Feature] Timeline - Go to date

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

Very simple (in principle) request: scrolling the timeline makes jumping to a specific date very clumsy, especially when one has lots of photos across multiple years. It would be much easier to have a "Go to date" button that opens a popup asking for a date input (w/ calendar control). Pressing OK instantly moves the timeline to the requested date. Additionally, the popup could be triggered by a hotkey like 'Ctrl+G' (for Go to).
