Right after I saved this, I noticed the unused space shrinks if I make the window narrower. Far enough and then the unused space is at the top and the icons are off the image. I guess that is a work-around but most screens are wider than tall so this is still common. Maybe we could just remove the shading that impacts the image? Is that really necessary. |

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
Could we move the icons on the imageviewer (+, download, trashcan, etc) to the unused vertical space above/below the pagination controls (< or >)? It's the shading across the top of the image that comes with the icons which really annoys me. The question is what to do when the info panel is displayed. Maybe put icons on left side and if info panel comes up then they overlay the image where they are on the left. At least the regular image view would be an unblemished image.
