[Feature] Formatting in Descriptions

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

Could markdown (or something like) be enabled for description fields (album and image)?
I'm looking for very simple and basic formatting, not elaborate or difficult (not tables for example). Bullets, links, bold. would likely be enough for me.
This goes with this other feature request to make descriptions more user friendly and a repository of information
