I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

It would be cool if Immich could detect pets the same way it does people. Only if that is not too much work.

It seems I searched through the Issues and not the discussions. While opening the feature request under "new issues -> feature request" I overlooked the hint to search there instead.

Ah that's fair :) Generally issues are only used for actual bugs. That's typical for many projects
