How does Immich authenticate server before doing background uploads

Hey! I have my Immich app (iOS) configured with current server address in local network 192.168.... , how can I make sure it authenticates that this is actually my own server (Synology) and not some Immich-like server on public network? Does Immich have this authentication before doing uploads?

Immich doesn't have something like this built in. If you're worried about that, you should use HTTPS with a valid certificate on a domain you own.
