I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
Hi,
When removing a photo from the iOS Photos app (not Immich), the change is not captured and then not propagated to Immich. This is particularly a big deal with the "hidden folder" (iOS one) since when a photo is taken, it first ends up in the default camera roll, gets picked up and uploaded by Immich, then one might move it to the hidden folder (then, photo is "removed") and Immich won't catch it. The same apply with a photo which is removed from the iOS Photo app (and not through the Immich app).
I understand automatic deletion of photos is very sensitive and is not yet planned. However, there is no way to batch review/remove such photos which are already synced with Immich. Then, it is very complicated to track and purge these (potentially sensitive?) photos from Immich.
It is already possible in the iOS Immich app to filter based on the "camera" in EXIF metadata. But there is no filter on the "uploaded" status.
Proposal would be to add a way to filter on "images available in Immich and not on device" (empty cloud icon) to easily batch review them and manually purge.
Came across a few related issues, although from a different angle:
Thanks!
Best,
