Simplified Photo Backup Flow for Non-Technical Users

Recently, I added my friend to the Immich app. However, since he isn’t very technical, he struggled with backing up our trip photos.

I’d like to recommend a simpler approach—similar to how Google Photos handles it—where all photos from the mobile device are displayed in a single feed. From there, the user can simply select the photos they want and tap a “Backup” button.

Currently, the process of creating a local album, navigating to it, and then uploading photos can be confusing and inconvenient, especially for users who aren’t used to managing albums manually. A streamlined, feed-based interface would make the app much more accessible for non-tech-savvy users.

You don't need to create local albums or anything? You can just select Recent's or Camera or whatever. No need to create albums and manually back them up.
