[Feature] Add Backup Album Using RegEx or Other Filter

I was wondering if it would be possible to automatically add a backup album using a regex or other filter. eg "Solocator *". I'm using Solocator to collect photos and it automatically adds the photos to a folder based on the project name I enter when taking the photograph. Currently I have to manually add the albums under the backup settings in Immich. This works great in that photos are pre-sorted by project, however it does have that manual step that needs to be taken.

Just spitballing and realized that tags could be used as well and I didn't think to search for an "auto tag" feature. I'm headed there next.

That looks nice, and I didn't see it in my searching, but I don't think it's quite the same although depending on how it was implemented, maybe...

What I'm suggesting is a feature within the mobile app that could automatically add a new "album" if it is created external to Immich based on a preset filter.

The linked FR seems to focus more on server side processing which is great, but for my use-case at least I don't think it would work. From what I can tell without "album" being a part of the upload/backup, there isn't any indication to Immich Server about what folder on the phone the photo came from, so any Smart Album feature wouldn't be able to tell. In my case the sorting is done external to Immich on the phone and I want to add the new folders (albums) to Immich automatically. Even an "add all new albums" option would work I think.

You're saying an asset stored in a local folder called "foo" should also end up in Immich in a folder called "foo"? That's already possible, it's called album sync in the app

Almost. The issue I'm running into is that the external app creates the folder called "foo - project name" project name changes which is great for organization, however it means I have to check the box in Immich settings each time. If all folders within a folder could be auto added, or if a fiter "foo - *" could be applied that would keep things moving without the manual step. I realize this may be a small use case, but it would be very helpful.
