Album search does not work properly

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

On Android, I noticed that album search does not work properly. I enter a search key, for a brief moment the correct albums are listed, but in about 1s, the standard list is shown. This happens while the "Albums" tab shows the "work in progress" animation.

The spinner means it's still loading up the albums, you should wait for it to finish.

I also suspected that the spinner show that the albums are loading. But I do see the correct search results for a brief moment, then the result are overwritten with the "all albums" display. It seems Immich app can do the search, for me, at last, it would be very useful to show those results, even if they might be incomplete. The spinner takes ages to load! Because of this i mainly use the android web browser rather than the app

I have this issue as well. It seems to be the result of having many albums. It makes the album search unusable for minutes.
