So, Shortcuts / keyboard navigation.

As my collection of all pictures I ever made gets slowly integrated the desire for order grows. My biggest friend is currently gps coordinates as I can usually cluster things on a map. But that isn't working for everything and some things that decrease entropy in my collection are quite cumbersome.

My usual workflow is to go through pictures in fullscreen view and then do something with it..usually its either

• locate the photo to some place, there are lots of pictures in all the places I have ever lived, so I got a list of gps coordinates for those places
• add a tag or more to a picture (this is the most painful of them all)
• add the picture to an album
• stack raw and jpeg images together

All these things are cumbersome to do in bulk, especially stacking is annoying as you have to go back into timeline view and sometimes then everything breaks.
Tagging anything is an UI nightmare as soon as you don't have a whole day of taggeable stuff. Especially having to select in a combobox is annoying because just typing isn't doing it.

I digress, the idea:
Dynamically having the ability to bind 1-9 (or basically anything) to specific actions like "set tag to xy" or "add to album ABC", maybe "set to specific gps" coordinates.
Marking things on the timeline view has cost me work in the past before while i was selecting some old pictures that were in a previous home, something bugged out and I couldn't set the coordinates. When exploring photos or just going through them, it would be a lot nicer if one could just on click assign specific meanings with a keypress like I can set pictures as favorite.

This would quickly make for a fairly complicated system to support a pretty niche feature. My suggestion would be to instead propose it as an addon to #1673, to have a workflow that gets triggered by a keyboard shortcut, instead of making it its own system.
