I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

As an extension on the "Share file > upload to immich" function, please add an option to upload straight to an album. It will upload the image to the timeline and also place it in the selected album.

Yes this thread existed before but was closed on the wrong grounds: it's not a duplicate request from #12190
The 12190 is referring to the sync mechanism, while here we are asking the possibility to chose the right album where to upload, directly from the "upload to immich" existing feature.

On the web, you can upload photos directly into an album, so it seems like a weird asymmetry to not be able to do this on mobile.
