[Feature] Improved EXIF metadata display

The feature

I'm a PhotoPrism user, but I like the look of Immich and I'm considering switching. There are a couple of killer features that I would like to see in Immich.

I use many cameras and lenses, and I would like to see more extensive display of metadata in the UI. For example, here's how I've set up my gallery view in PhotoPrism, where I can see the datetime, location, exposure info, camera and lens. The metadata display should be toggleable. It would be awesome if the camera and lens were clickable, to see other photos taken with that camera or lens.

And here's the top toolbar where I can filter my gallery by various fields, including camera.

I think the current approach of including some metadata in the info toggle panel on swipe up is better behaviour and is one of the primary reasons that I've chosen Immich over Photoprism. I find that the approach taken by Photoprism is overly cluttered and distracts too much from the photos in general.
I think if any change is to be implemented, it should be restrained to the info panel or only exposed through augmented search features.

Respectfully disagree, @AngelaDMerkel. I like to see the metadata while browsing the photos, and not have to open another panel.

However, I think the behaviour should be toggleable so everyone is happy. It should be possible to browse the photos without any metadata, but also to enable display of some fields below the photos.

That data can be overwhelming for people that don't want to see it, but it's vital to photographers like us. There could be some kind of "show more" button in the photo's info panel to show advanced data (I believe even raf EXIF data would be great) but that's already the purpose of the info panel, to give you info about the photo.

I think for now as long as all that data is extracted and stored somewhere it could be utilized in future updates to display more photographer-oriended data

(+1) I think anyone using immmich would be the type that likes "stats for nerds" but a toggle for their "less nerdy" family members...

I agree more meta is better if its already there, and as a fellow photographer, I do look at meta data a lot such as camera or device, lens used, focal length, megapixel size, etc. I agree some kind of unfold to see "more..." and let that option be sticky so it remains showing once I toggle it on.

I would also want to know if I'm looking at the original files or a "resized" version of whatever image i'm zoomed into, for pixel peeping on a large display.

I think this is the way. It only adds one extra key for interacting with the interface and can be done very unobtrusively. Users who don't need aren't likely to even be bothered by it's presence in the settings.

+1 on toggling view options. Default of "View photo as normal", then other options showing details w/ metadata etc..

Please consider adding support for:

1. Showing metadata that appears in XMP sidecar files
2. Allowing search of that metadata
