Importance of immich/API for extrnal application

Hi, I just discovered immich and just wanted to mention that it is a fantastic photo manager application !

The more I read about it, the more i see new features suggestions, new PR and witness a awesome momentum from the FOSS community. While, I see the value of new features implemented within immich and immich-app, I see more value of in immich API usage from external application.

For example, from:

• JITSI we can set a background from a immich URL
• from wallpaper.rs
• etc.

In that context, (it is just an opinion), I'd suggest to consider:

• integrating/developing features that extend immich photo management application.
• Use current immich/API or extend it if necessary so that immich can be used from many (maybe already existing) application.

For example, I noticed that some users would like to have their:

• Android-TV slideshow display immich photos combined with metadat such as meteo or MOTD or birthday information etc.
• Video conferencing system can link to an immich "picture of the day"
• Having its background desktop updated by immich feed.
• ...

Sorry English is not my native language so apology if the following sentence seems harsh.
All the points above should not bother immich developers, and should be the "duty" of application developer that would take advantage of the immich API.
(or appplcaition can be part of immich-app organization as a new repo)
However, it would be up to the immich developers to extends immich/API so that new features can be unlocked.

One cool thing would be to have "Add-on" (or 3rd party applications) section in http://immich.app that would emphasized how powerful and awesome is the immich/API.

Again I want to re-iterate my thanks for this loooong time seeked application that woud let user keep track and manage people's souvenirs !

IMHO, immich is the answer for photo management, as git is for the code or netbox is for infrastucture management. :-)
