3D - auto bed leveller

Hi could you tell us if yours has auto-level feature its advertised as such, but some say it doesnt auto level, and also there are leveling wheels.

Any other comments about the printer appreciated there are mixed reviews on youtube, most are bad for this model but good for the plus model.

I have a V2 of the printer. It does have auto leveling if you add the hardware. As long has you do V2 or higher it is definitely a viable printer. I have over 1k print hours on mine and bought it in March.

As @Moxie1776 said, the auto leveling needs a little hardware upgrade. In my case: 3D Touch. I installed the 3D Touch sensor using this support (PT-BR content).

After the hardware/mechanical instalation, some firmware modifications is needed (there are many other autto bed leveling features thats you can enable in Configuration.h):

It can be enabled from the menu without re-compiling Marlin firmware.

@Moxie1776 Well I don't know what firmware people are using.

In the Brazilian community, for example, I know that they are testing a lot, including applications that are not based on Marlin. That's why I prefer to refer to the source code. Taking advantage, there are also questions regarding the type of support chosen to be configured:

I am thinking the latest version may have this auto level sensor installed already as I just read a review April 13 2021.

which clearly states its automatic.
The same review said that V2 was not capable of PLA extrusion which seems a bit weird surely it does PLA?
The twotrees home page is down for some days and support by many is claimed as lacklustre.
To get the wifi module do you go to Aliexpress?

Indeed, the review is emphatic and makes it appear that this functionality is fully available from the factory. However, I don't know a way to perform the automatic leveling of the bed without a specific sensor for this purpose (inductive, capacitive, linear actuator...).

The BlueR versions is another confusing thing... anyway, as explained in this link, all the versions I know are these:

• BlueR V1 : First version of BlueR with a metal extruder.
• BlueR V2 : (Formerly "BlueR" out of the box.) BMG extruder with Blue parts and integrated endstop for X and Z.
• BlueR V3 : (Formerly "BlueR V2" out of the box.) BMG extruder and more Black parts as your predecessor.

In none of them is there a native sensor that allows automatic leveling, unfortunately.

Ahhh, all three BlueR versions prints PLA, ABS and PETG without any problem.

Lots of tweaks.
You say you have had about 1k hours use out of it. During that time did you have any setup or later reliability problems, and if so, how did Two Trees perform under warranty?

As for support, I cant come here and expect you to always help; any forum you recommend where some use the Two Trees?

The only problem I have had with this printer would be a blown motor (my fault, fed too much current to it), and a set screw was missing from the BMG extruder. I contact support and I did not receive any replacement parts for the missing set screw. I ended up buying the least expensive BMG Extruder I could find on Amazon.

I am converting my Ender 3 to a Voron Switchwire. I have pulled parts off my E3 that are no longer in use and put on this printer also.

That just about makes my mind up to buy the new Voxlab Aquila X2, where you do get support.
There have been far too many comments about Two Trees bad support. You are lucky it was just a screw. Say it was a missing major part that would have been really inconvenient.

Looking at the Aquila X2 it's an Ender 3. I appears to have the 2040 cross member for the Y axis where the E3 pro and E3 V2 have the 4040. Last time I looked the E3 was around $170. There is something to be said for buying an Ender. While these other clones are close there are parts that will not fit them.

For example, cooling systems. I put an Ender carriage plate on my printer which opened up the use of any 'made for E3' cooling system.

In this, its the older version he also does review for the X2 which is a slight upgrade. He also has an Ender and a Two Trees but for some reason wont do a review on the Two Trees probably because its pretty good.

It's all a personal choice. For me, I like to tinker and upgrade my printers. After have a Bluer V2 and a Ender 3 I realize the E3 frame is a much better frame, and it is cheaper / easier to upgrade. If that is you then what you start with just needs to be solid but not super, if you aren't going to upgrade it much then what you get out of the box is more important.
