[Bug]: High GPU usage at first launch

Have you tested that this is not an upstream issue or an issue with your configuration?

• I have tried reproducing this issue in Chrome and it could not be reproduced there
• I have tried reproducing this issue in ungoogled-chromium and it could not be reproduced there
• I have tried reproducing this issue in Helium with a new and empty profile using --user-data-dir command line argument and it could not be reproduced there

Description

99-100% GPU Usage when I launch browser for the first time and it takes for like 3-4 minutes causing lag

How to Reproduce?

1. Completely close the browser
2. Open it again
3. and check the stats
4. It makes everything laggy.

Actual behavior

100% GPU on launching it
Nearly after 4-5 minutes it gets back to normal

Expected behavior

It should not take these much gpu on launching for that long. chrome doesnt have that bug.

yes i have 10+ extensions imported from google chrome @wukko is that causing this issue ?

potentially, yeah. try to disable all of them (except for helium's ublock origin) and see if the same issue persists. if it doesn't, then the issue is in one of extensions.

yep @wukko it fixed it. but i have same extensions on chrome and its working pretty fine. so I was wondering why we are getting high gpu usage 🌵
