Upgrade buildsystem #2
Description
The current autotools buildsystem needs a little upgrade to fix some deprecated statements. It also does not work out of the box due to the lack of a README file (autotools, still very helpful!...)

In a second step, if there is enough community interest in reviving TnL, then maybe a more modern buildsystem like CMake could be considered. But fixing autotools should be fine to start with.
