Is there a way to prevent receiving any props on subsequent Inertia requests?

On first page load, I need to load all props, but on follow-up requests on the same page, I don’t want to receive any props at all.
My current workaround is:

router.visit('/my-page', {
  only: ['non-existent-key'],
});

Is there a better or official way to do this?
