This is a known limitation: RAGFlow's PPTX parser only extracts text (including tables as text) from slides and does not extract or include images in the output. This behavior is by design and is not considered a bug—it's tracked and marked as "not planned" for resolution by the maintainers [source, source, source].

If you need to extract images from PPTX presentations, you have two main options:

1. Manually extract the images from your PPTX file and process them through RAGFlow's image pipeline for OCR or description generation [source].
2. Convert your PPTX to PDF and use the General chunking method, which supports figure extraction for PDFs [source].
