macOS 12.6 cannot find the keyboard in VirtualBuddy 1.3.1

Hello! macOS 12.6 setup cannot be completed due to an inability to find the keyboard. I've confirmed this is present in v1.3 and v1.3.1, but not in the beta of v1.3.

I am running into the same problem with Version 1.5 (117).
Host runs Sonoma 14.5, running on a MB Air M1, guest is Monterey 12.6.1, fresh IPSW.

So, this is during the first boot, after the "hello" part and choosing the language. Next it waits for me to pair a BT keyboard.

It neither sees the internal Macbook kbd nor an externally connected one, via USB. Trackpad and an external mouse work fine, though. This should confirm that the USB system works in general, but something is broken with the kbd detection.

Last time I ran VB, a version from 2022 (which now crashes on Sonoma), this worked fine on the same Mac.

Oh - the problem is me having chosen the "Mac" keyboard type. While I had seen the note that then appears about support only in macOS 13 and later, I assumed this was about the host system, like similar notes in other parts of the settings that relate to host support.
The fix is to choose the "Generic" keyboard type in the VM settings.
