Current foreground application is completely unresponsive after waking from sleep

I've started noticing that some time after waking the VM from sleep, the foreground application becomes completely unresponsive as well as the menu bar. Furthermore, right clicking on the dock also does not work.
Clicking on other applications that were in the background do work, and the menu bar for said application works.
The only temporary fix to this solution seems to be either logging out the user or restarting the VM, which are not ideal.

This is occurring on my M2 Mac Mini, which is running macOS 15.5 for both the host and guest. I have already tried reinstalling both OSes with no luck. Weirdly this issue has not occurred yet on my M4 MBP.

Assuming you're talking about the guest OS, you'll need to report this bug to Apple via Feedback Assistant, as it's likely a bug in macOS itself when running inside a virtual machine.
