Currently in 0.17.14 , Inventree allows setting user group permissions for viewing, editing or deleting parts, stock and stock items as whole categories. However, in our use case, a fablab/makerspace with all inventory managed in Inventree, we need more detailed control.
For example:
standard fablab users should be able to access and modify general stock items and components.
However, sensitive materials stored in locked cabinets (also managed as stock items) should have restricted access, only select users can change location, add, or remove those stock items.
In short, we want to be able to set permissions for specific groups of stock items to prevent unauthorized modifications or visibility.
This feature would enable tighter control of inventory, better security of sensitive materials, and more flexible management tailored to different user roles within the same system.
Thanks for considering!
