Enforcing rules on parts/part topologies

I recently started to wondering about having a feature which would either allow checking parts and their part tree recursively with a pre-defined rule set or even better enforce them at some point.

Here is an example what I am thinking about:

• Every part in the Circuit assembly shall have only one BoM item from the Schematic part type which needs to be .
• The parts in the Schematic category shall have only one PDF and one ZIP attachement
  ... and so on.

I think these rule definitions should/could be attached to part categories.

Any further idea would be welcome!

This can be done using the ValidationMixin
If you want rtegular checks use the ScheduleMixin. I wrote plugin that checks supplierparts regularely against the supplier api using the ScheduleMixin.
