[Plugin] Testing of AppMixin plugins

Hello,

I'm currently implementing testing to my bulk-action-plugin in wolflu05/inventree-bulk-plugin#6. I already implemented unit tests for my generation library and now want to extend that to also test my plugins generation of database objects. What would be the recommended way to run Django tests from an plugin as the docs recommend to do, as I have no Django settings module?

Use the built-in testing functions of django to make sure your code does not cause unwanted behaviour in InvenTree before releasing.

@wolflu05 you can add tests as with any other django app. You can then use a github action to run the tests. Mount your repo folder into the latest docker image and run the manage.py test command (maybe scoped just to your plugin) to get full e2e tests and check if new releases break anything (you can schedule actions).

a) it is already working after trying a second time, was a weird error
b) This does not work, or I misunderstand something. Can you please take a look at the job output, my plugin gets not loaded even the env vars are set on the container.

@matmair I think I worked out the problem a step further. I tried to set the variables you mentioned above as env vars. However for PLUGIN_TESTING_SETUP this does not work (why?). Using @override_settings(PLUGIN_TESTING_SETUP=True) in combination with registry.reload_plugins(True) I am able to see my plugin in registry.plugins. But it seems wrong to add this mechanism to all of my integration tests. Is there an option to set the PLUGIN_TESTING_SETUP before starting of the tests?

@wolflu05 this seems strange to me. I am using another CI system for my private plugins so I do not really know where this problem comes from. Maybe the env is not set right?

@wolflu05 I think I found the problem. Seems like the mapping only works via config file (this is how I do it currently) - fix incomming.
