Setting default stock location?

Is there a way to set the default stock location?

When completing a purchase order and completing "Receive Purchase Order Items" can the location be set to a default like Office?

I'd had a look through the location options and don't see any way to set it as default.

If not it would be nice to have a checkbox on your locations so you can set one of them to default.

This can be specified at the purchase order level, but not globally. You edit the purchase order details to set the receive location. It can also be overridden per line item in the order

@SchrodingersGat it would really make sense for the Receive Purchase Order Items field location to default in order of:

1. Purchase Order Line destination
2. Purchase Order destination
3. Part Default Location

I had thought maybe this pull had taken care of it (#5972)

@zsoden I believe it does do this - at least in the new UI. Which version/UI are you testing in?

@SchrodingersGat the latest stable release 0.17.11 API 294, with the Platform UI.

I'm not getting default selections populate for anything at all (i.e. for the label printer selected in my user profile), so perhaps it's a broader issue on my end. I did just notice that the system status says "Background Worker Not Running". Could that be related?

I played around with this and don't see any option to set the location when creating a purchase order, or when adding line items.

Am I looking in the wrong area?

I use the api/order/po to create the PO but in the api docs I also don't see any option to set the location.

It is in the screenshot you have posted - look at the "Destination" field.

I did try that one but that doesn't set the location on received.

Tried setting the destination on the PO and on the line item.

Ok so this sounds more like a functional bug. You set the destination field, but it does not get used when receiving stock?

Yes, when setting destination field it does not get used on receiving stock.

Even more confusing I decided to test it on demo.inventree.org and it works there.

Ok, so the demo server is running "latest" and you are running "stable". Looks like we will need to make a patch to fix this on the old user interface. Would you like to tackle this one?
