Change Stock Status form issue

Hi, I'm new here and I'd like to ask for help with an issue we encountered after updating InvenTree from version 0.16.5 to 0.17.12.

In the Part view, at the Part Stock menu, we noticed that the Change Stock Status button opens the form, but the dropdown menu for selecting stock status types does not load correctly.

If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has any suggestions on what to check, we would greatly appreciate some guidance.

@ihapg - It seems you are using Custom States - correct?

I can't recall I have seen exactly what you describe but there is a bug when the Stock Status is changed from the Stock table as discussed in #9157. I'm using PUI but at least part of the issue is related to the backend why the problem likely exists also in CUI - although the visible result might look different.

The bug actually causes the custom state ID to be saved in the wrong database field resulting in strange behavior also in other parts of the GUI. If a Custom State has been assigned in that way it has to be manually corrected in the database. I would recommend to only change status by opening the Edit modal from the Details form for a specific Stock item until this is solved.

A PR (#9781) is being worked upon by @SchrodingersGat but some related issues has to be resolved before this PR can be merged.

Hi @gunstr , thanks for your suggestion. We are not currently using Custom States but in the PUI we haven´t noticed that problem and looking at the roadmap we are going to move on to PUI progressively.
We genuinely appreciate you taking the time to assist us with this.
