Personal opinion: I think we are a too small team to keep something that elaborate maintained. We have a lot of electronics manufacturing specific workflows and those would need to be changeable too. It is better to say no than tack on a feature that is lackluster imo. Opinions of maintainer or other core team members might differ. |

Hi there - great work on Inventree. Really good stuff here. I wanted to know if for future expandability if you might allow users to update the platform terms and language so that it can be used for other items? We would have a need to use it for a small foodservice distribution operation to support community food trucks. For this, it would be good to be able to swap the word PART for something else. I used to work with CiviCRM and they have this ability to do this. See below.
In CiviCRM, "global changes" generally refers to modifications that affect the entire system or a large portion of it, rather than just a single record or user. This can include changes to terminology, membership settings, data logging, and more. Understanding these terms and how they work is crucial for effective CiviCRM management and customization.
Here's a breakdown of key terms related to global changes in CiviCRM:
Allows you to customize the terminology used throughout your CiviCRM instance.
For example, you can replace "Contribution" with "Donation" or "Membership" with "Subscription" to align with your organization's language.
Accessed via Administer > Customize Data and Screens > Word Replacements.
