Complete build orders / allocate stock using stock qr codes - Plugin?

Hi, I know this feature is not yet included in the app but I would like users to be able to complete build order using a scanner (either handheld scanner or a mobile phone). Do you think this is feasible with a plugin? I don't mind trying to do this if this at least would be possible. I envision a laptop with a wireless handheld scanner attached. Then for a build order a scanner button for each Incomplete Build Output line which then just allows scanning of the stock parts that should be added to the product box and a progress interface showing what should still be added (and of course errors if the wrong stock item part was scanned). This is less error prone as currently a user could add a stock item to the product box but select the wrong batch or serial number for that stock item.

@NerosKi this would be a great addition. What we need is to further extend the barcode functionality around build orders.

Not just for the app, but also for the web UI.

Currently the app does not yet support "build orders" also. It's on the list, but it's a big list with only a small number of active devs. Perhaps you'd be willing to help out with coding or funding?

I would be up for trying to make this plugin. I have decent python knowledge. Are you saying it would already be possible to write such a plugin or is expanding the barcode functionality into build orders a prerequisite before such a plugin could be made? I am not sure I understand the project enough to add to the core code.

I think there would need to be some backend changes first - to improve our general barcode workflows.
