after adding my 401k acct to Investbrain i was looking at it thinking about how i could get a better breakdown of my cost basis. for example I think on a 401k and probably IRA's also there is a benefit in separating employer matching contributions and also capital gains and dividends from the cost basis of the underlying holdings. When i look at these i would like to see only the amounts i have actually contributed as my cost basis since they are all in a deferred or tax advantaged acct. would it be feasible to add categories to the buy transaction to separate divies and employer matches? they can still be added in a total cost basis but also shown in a un-totaled view also???
