when I upload bam or vcf， is iobio.io handel data which upload from local?

as title, I don't know if it is safe （maybe can protect my data to prevent my data to share anywhere）， when upload my personal data（bam or vcf）？

bam.iobio only samples a small amount of data from the bam file and plots data from the index file. The full file is never uploaded and no data is stored.

I'll add that technically using https://bam.iobio.io does give our servers full access to your data. As @AlistairNWard, we don't abuse that access, but there is some risk for example if someone managed to hack our servers they might be able to get access as well. It is possible to selfhost both bam.iobio and the gru backend, which gives you much more control over who has access to your data, but selfhosting carries its own risks, which you'll want to be sure to understand.
