If I update my ionic project to capacitor >= 2.0.0 I always get an error in xcode:

error: ...project/node_modules/@capacitor/ios/ios/CapacitorCordova/CapacitorCordova/Classes/Public/AppDelegate.h: No such file or directory (in target 'CapacitorCordova' from project 'Pods')

...project/node_modules/@capacitor/ios/ios/CapacitorCordova/CapacitorCordova/Classes/Public/AppDelegate.h: No such file or directory

If I move back to a lower version It works fine but I need the newer version to set specific CameraOptions.
What to do?

Have you tried to also update @capacitor/cli to version 2.2.0?

My procedure is usually the following:

1. Update all Capacitor packages

npm install @capacitor/ios@latest @capacitor/cli@latest @capacitor/core@latest @capacitor/android@latest --save

2. Sync the projects

npx cap sync ios
or 
npx cap sync android

3. Make the necessary changes in the native project
   IOS Project
   ANDROID Project

4. Just in case, it never hurts to do a "Clean Build Folder"

Hope it helps, sometimes we get stuck with this kind of tasks ;)

Did exactly what you said but the same error occurs. If you look at the first error: Maybe I can change something in the Podfile?

workaround to avoid Xcode 10 caching of Pods that requires

Product -> Clean Build Folder after new Cordova plugins installed
