Copy/paste bubbles take long to appear in iOS

I have been alerted by my users that it takes a while for the copy/paste bubble to appear, and after testing it myself I can confirm that indeed in iOS safari it takes much longer for a bubble to appear than in a native iOS app. I havent been able to find anything about it on google. Anyone else experiencing the same thing, and any solutions out there?
I am guessing it is the same reason why clicks are slower as well - that they have some code to see if the user is scrolling.
