Background Task

Hello!
a video was recently released about background task :

I'd like to know when this feature will arrive, and especially, if there is currently a "plugin" allowing background tasks when the application is closed.
I'm working with transistorsoft's background fetch plugin .

but the latter requires native code to enable this kind of thing, and I don't know how to do it, to be honest! (especially, how to access the localstorage from native code)
