Running npm i --save -E @capacitor/core@latest takes so long to complete

I am running ionic start and whenever the process is on npm i --save -E @capacitor/core@latest, the fastest time to complete is 15 minutes. Sometimes it is taking 30 minutes to 1 hour. There is also one time that it took more than an hour so I just quit the process. Can someone help me? Thank you.

npm -v: 9.5.1
ionic -v: 7.1.1

Running on:
Device: Macbook Pro 16-inch M1
RAM: 32 GB
OS: MacOS Ventura 13.4
