Got "Failed to load WebView provider: No WebView installed"

I'am testing Capacitor 5 on a old Vanilla Device with Android 8 API 26.

My App crashes on boot with these exception.

Chromium WebView package does not exist

If the webview is too old it is redirected to server.errorPath from the Capacitor Config. What is the best way to handle this error and inform the user that the webview is missing?
