[GSoC Project Proposal]: ERDDAP Improve the WMS and Make a Graph pages

Project Description

A core functionality of ERDDAP is making the data useful to users. Making it easy to generate graphs, images, and maps based on the data is a core part of this. This project is to add extensions to our WMS implementation as well as new features to the Make a Graph page. The tracking bug for this project is ERDDAP/erddap#419.

Expected Outcomes

Support for extensions in the ERDDAP WMS page. Ability to combine multiple datasources on the Make a Graph page. Shared code between the two parts of the code base.

Hey @Harish-2003 It was great working with you last summer! Just to make sure you're informed, the selections for organizations for GSoC have not happened yet. It's recommended to wait until we know we will be a selected org for GSoC to work on these projects. At this moment we are just building the idea pages.
