[OSB] Register the project as a NumFocus affiliated project #50
Description
https://numfocus.org/ is a non-profit organisation that supports efforts on the numerical python and julia ecosystem. Most packages that we commonly used, like Numpy, pandas or Conda, exist under the umbrella of NumFocus as Sponsored Projects | pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Jupyter, + more - NumFOCUS.
Many scientific packages are Affiliated Projects (a more light touch relationship with NumFocus) which with minimal fuss can give a lot of visibility and access to Small Development Grants - NumFOCUS, essential to support open source projects.
