Can backscatter be included with RFIG and GUNW? #9
Description
The Cryo ST discussed that InSAR products do not contain backscatter information. Available backscatter products are separate and have different posting.
Visual representation of data can benefit from the inclusion of backscatter information. This generally provides more spatial context of the scene, particularly for coherence and phase products. The current scenario would necessitate the download of a separate product and an additional processing step to harmonize them.
Specific requests:
- include a backscatter layer in RFIG
- include a backscatter layer in GUNW
- a single backscatter layer (i.e. primary only) would be sufficient
- a single polarization will be sufficient (rather than a full COV). For ice sheets, this is automatic as single pol only is collected
- slight preference for power, but can discuss with the project what is recommended from their end
