Is it advisable to use Nodejs streams for data processing? Wouldn't it be more advisable to use a language more suitable to this.

@VesperQuartz 100%, use a better language if the processing time isn't an issue. If you have the freedom to choose, picking the right tool for the job is always the smart move.

But a lot of teams don’t have that luxury. Maybe they’re already running everything in Node and adding another language means dealing with a whole new deployment pipeline, different monitoring setups, or needing expertise they don’t have on hand. For one endpoint, that overhead isn’t worth it.

The main takeaway is that these concepts ie. backpressure, buffering etc they’re pretty much universal. Once you get them in one language, you’ll recognize the same patterns everywhere else.

And honestly, if you’re in a team that's stuck with Node, you might as well know how to do it right.
