[question]: Relationship with dct:Location

in data.europa.eu/sparql Country, Continents and Places vocabularies reference dct:Location

• what's the role of dct:Location in ontopia?
• we have l0:Location that seems not related to dct:Location

No role. I searched in the alignment files and we did not semantically align l0:Location to dct:Location probably because the semantics it is slightly different. dct:Location is more a named physical location. l0:Location is a broader concept (it also can be like "the space under the desk" and indeed it is part of the foundational ontology of OntoPiA).

Do not look only names to understand the semantics of entities and relationships :)

In OntoPiA physical locations (spatial objects) are clv:Feature (term used in the OGC standard geosparql). In fact in our vocabularies on territorial classifications we use clv:Feature.
Nobody prevents us to define an individual which is of type clv:Feature and dct:Location, since these two classes are not declared explicitly as owl:disjoint.
