SFTP uploads from macOS Sonoma to Ubuntu server slow over gigabit LAN. About 1/4 speed of command line.

Cyberduck 8.7.1 purchased today from App Store. When using sftp from command line I get the full 1Gbps transfer speed (110MB/s) when uploading a single multi-GB file. When using Cyberduck I am seeing about 1/8 speed (14MB/s).

I have seen up to 26MB/s on subsequent transfers, but not higher. I notice in Activity Monitor that Cyberduck seems to take up almost exactly 100%. So is it maxing out exactly one core? I'm just reaching for straws trying to see what is happening.

I am running on an M1 Max with 32GB RAM if that helps.
