When synchronizing big folders the the file transfer seems to hang

I use Cyberduck to sync (mirror) folders between local discs and cloud storage (ShadowDrive, OneDrive, ...). When I choose to sync a folder a job appears in the file transfer window, I see that the dirs are being scanned, and then the sync starts - the dialog shows the files being processed, the progress bar is updated, etc.

When I did that with big folders (>50 GB) I thought the jobs froze - because after the dirs were scanned the dialog (both text & progress bar) did not get updated for 20-30 Minutes before the sync started. But I just had to wait.

It would be really great if this could be changed - that the dialog shows that there's activity.
