Help detaching Daily Note

Hello,

This was probably answered somewhere on the internet already, but is there some way to disconnect the time stamps from my daily note and connect them to another note?

I do not like that every time I log or add something to the timeline, it adds it to my very condensed and formatted daily note.

I'd rather this occur to a different note that I create daily via Templater.

I tried using the "Include additional files, folders and tags with a Dataview source" feature, but perhaps I am using it wrong because it does nothing when I connect tags or specific note paths.
