Window Not Showing on Some Linux Platforms

Using version 0.32.0 and a quick default setup, the inspector window is not shown:

This occurred on an Ubuntu + KDE Plasma environment, but has also been reported on Discord for Arch + Hyprland as well. In both cases, downgrading to 0.31 resolved the issue.

I wonder if bevy_egui #398 is related, and updating that dependency here will fix the problem (edit: it's not dependencies, they're already up to date)

I think the problem is that recent bevy_egui versions, you need a camera2d for egui to show.

I think the problem is that recent bevy_egui versions, you need a camera2d for egui to show.

Actually, I got stumped by two issues around assumptions that the inspector would just work so long as I've add the required plugins. The other one was caused by my app going through state transitions that despawn and respawn the cameras, and I found the solution in the discussion on #286.

My app is now working great, though perhaps it would be a good idea to update this crate's README to note the quirks of bevy_egui, such as:

• It renders to the camera that has a PrimaryEguiContext
• By default, it will attach the context to the first-spawned camera
• This automatic attachment can be disabled by inserting EguiGlobalSettings with auto_create_primary_context: false
• If overriding that default behaviour, the context component should manually be added to the desired camera
