Dear Tinytuya community,
I have a USB-powered Wifi temperature and humidity and light sensor, which is always on. It is registered with the Tuya Smart app, and works fine - I can see the sensor history, and I can see the real-time values at any point when I use the app. (It isn't like a battery-powered device that only briefly turns onto Wifi to send data at a fixed schedule.)
I have tried the tinytuya V1.8.0 scan many times, both from a laptop on the wired home network, and on the same Wifi as the sensor. Every time it finds 0 devices. When the Windows firewall prompted it on first execution, I allowed python access to all network types. I'm running python V3.11.0. I have full local administrator access to the Windows PC.
Do you have any suggestions for how to debug this, what might stop the scan finding the Wifi sensor? Thank you.
I will also try the cloud method, but so far I'm having trouble logging into the Tuya website, even though the app says I am logged in fine, and my data is going to cloud because I can download the spreadsheets of data from there by getting the app to send an email with a download link.
