If you do a force scan with tinytuya, do you get any information about the device? |

Newer v3.5 devices do not send out broadcasts, they listen for them and respond via unicast. TinyTuya should be able to find it with a normal scan |

Hello. I have a single Tuya/Ewelink device, an EVC300 water valve robot. I believe this should conform to Tuya. I decided to run pcap on my router itself and look for UDP being sent across my LAN consistent to what I see diagrammed here and on this Tuya site. I am not seeing anything at all after many minutes of pcap.
My first thought is that I am doing something wrong or not doing something I need to do. I know the device's IP on my LAN from the router. I know the device sends multicast MDNS in response to a UDP packet I send. But I am not seeing any broadcasts LAN-wide as it seems like I should. Do I need to do something first in order to receive the broadcasts? I was under the impression that Tuya devices just do this as a matter of course to any listener on the LAN. Does something need to be done on the device in order to achieve this behavior?
Maybe I am an idiot and Ewelink and Tuya are not the same thing?
Thanks for helping me clear this up.
